Begum Cacmak

EU Project Manager

Begum has a BSc in Psychology (University of Exeter, UK) and holds a research MSc Social Psychology (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Netherlands) while currently pursuing the PhD from the University of Exeter, UK.She received an intense research education and participated in many research projects. Upon her MSc graduation, she is awarded a “cum laude” title. Her work ended up being published at Collabra journal. 

She has been actively engaged in many proposal writings in the Netherlands. Although her research interest is diverse, she has particular interest in topics involving stereotypes, discrimination, threat perceptions, and psychosocial experiences of minorities. Begum worked in a civil society (EU-funded) and provided psychosocial support for individuals combating addiction (e.g., drug, alcohol, & gambling) and gave educational seminars in many universities. In addition to these, she has a strong academic teaching experience and experience in managing many Erasmus+ projects involving diverse topics. Begum is also a lecturer at the Eastern Mediterranean University.
