With significant percentages lost in various phases, from production to consumption, Food Chase project aims to tackle these challenges through collaboration and innovative solutions.
Through strategic partnerships and groundbreaking approaches, Food Chase aims to bridge the gap between supply chain phases, enabling rapid information exchange and promoting sustainable practices. Food Chase goal is to build a more resilient food system that minimizes waste, enhances efficiency, and ensures food security for all.
Food Chase objectives are:
- Establishing Food Supply-Chain Ecosystems for Sustainability: First goal is to cultivate collaborative networks, fostering sustainable practices throughout the food supply chain.
- Advocating for Sustainable Practices: Champion environmentally friendly methods and processes, minimizing food waste and optimizing resource utilization.
- Implementing Innovative Solutions: Seeking to mitigate food losses and enhancing resource efficiency by introducing pioneering approaches and technologies.
- Fostering Stakeholder Collaboration: Aiming to encourage diverse stakeholders to join forces, addressing food loss and waste challenges collectively.
- Decreasing Food Losses and Waste at the EU Level: Strategically reducing food losses and waste across Europe is a key focus, achieved through targeted interventions and policy initiatives.
